Trust Me, I'm (Almost) a Doctor
The road to becoming "Jillian Claire, MD" is long and hard and filled with long nights alone in the library, tears over one missed question, and more than several minor panic attacks. And I'm only starting my second year of undergrad. This is a trying but incredibly rewarding time in my life, so I've decided to keep a record of it and hopefully create a resource for my fellow pre-meds.

The Idea
Basically, being pre-med sucks. Sure the college part is fun, and you get to have some great experiences, and you know that you're on your way to an amazing and rewarding career, but you spend countless hours in a lab and sacrifice your social life to study for impossible classes all while the impending doom of the MCAT is leering over your shoulder. I learned very quickly in my freshman year that to survive we have to band together, form a support network, and help each other along the road. That's why I'm starting this blog. It's my hope that in recording my experiences I can help guide others down the path, and in recording my struggles I can reach out to others in the same position so we can help each other out. It's not going to be easy, but I know it will be worth it.
